A career military man, Thomas Lincoln Casey attended West Point and rose through the ranks to Brigadier General. In the 1870s, he was responsible for shoring up and completing the Washington Monument. In 1855 he accepted responsibility for Casey Farm, ensuring that it would remain intact for future generations.
